As we go on about our days, the calmer we seem the more we meet others who are interested in learning what makes us so calm. Anxiety is a feeling we all experience at the loss of control. How do we keep control in a breaking point? Let’s learn how to stand inside a burning fire of opinions that only gets colder and colder the longer we decide to stand our mental & physical ground.
“It’s hot! Sweats dripping, the muscles are aching and our knees feel weak … No! Don’t back down.” What drives us humans past our breaking point? Physical and mental training. Keeping our bodies in good physical shape helps us feel prepared and strong. Physical discipline also manifests mental strength that comes from ingesting valuable information. Training ourselves in both our physical and mental attributes is a sure way of combating anxiety.
Ignoring opinions while in creative mode blocks out feelings of anxiety. The reason we can be so involved with another persons impressions is due to experiencing a loss of inspiration, so we search for inspiration in others. This can be annoying as it feels like having a comment section that’s live 24/7. Keep the attention on ourselves until we’re ready for constructive criticism.

Besides always letting other people’s criticism affect us is our own. We persistently form opinions upon ourselves on a daily basis. Positively criticizing ourselves brings upon positive reinforcement. Through positive self talk we become more reinforced with positivity as to become even more resilient to negative talk.

It’s hot! Just ignore the fire under your feet, it gets colder over time.
